At first, I didn't know what irony was I had never even heard about it , but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, irony is use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning. There are three types of irony dramatic irony, situational irony, verbal irony. I also learned about ambiguity. I used to think ambiguity was something you never knew about, but I learned that ambiguity is doubtfulness or uncertainty of meaning or intention. On my irony and ambiguity pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at least average grade-level.

"Theme"

At first, I thought theme was something related to the story but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, theme is a central idea or insight about life and human nature the gives a story meaning. Some themes are universal, which means that they are commonly found in the liture of all culture and age. Themes can be found in all genres of literature; the five main genres of literature are board statement that applies to or covers many individuals, experiences, situaton, observations, or tests. Since I now understand theme, I can find the theme of my favorite movie. My favorite movie is Madagascar. The theme of this movie is that they were all best friends and nothing could come between the but they have there ups and downs. On my theme pretest, I was below grade grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at grade-level.
